The Mikuni TM series flat slide carburetors provide a significant improvement over OEM round slide and CV type carburetors.  The flat slide and venturi designs allow smoother airflow and higher velocities thereby increasing the pressure differential at the needle jet.  This efficient design allows better atomization which enhances throttle response and power output. 

This Mikuni 36mm pumper carburetor kit is easy bolt-on horsepower for ALL XR400R's.  ALL of the following is included for a simple installation:

This kit is suited for mild to modified motors and will come pre-jetted for immediate bolt on installation and utilizes the stock airbox and intake manifolds.  The throttle cables also fit the OEM throttle assembly.  The TM36's from the Power-Barn have been carefully developed over the years to be equipped with the optimum jetting settings upon delivery, however some fine tuning may be required to attain the desired combination of performance, fuel mileage, and drivability based upon your particular environment settings.  Please don't forget to specify your motorcycle modifications and riding environments.  Alternatively, kits can be built utilizing your own jetting specifications.  Additional genuine Mikuni jetting parts and accessories are always available at low prices.

Additional air filter options are available, please select your option now before adding to your cart.  Select either the high performance K&N HA-1314 air filter or the high flow UNI Filter NU-4074ST.
